Soviet Structures & Society Reconection Lab.

The project means to observe and reintegrate the buildings, built in soviet times, with the public spaces, using the self-parody. It can be said that these buildings are irrelevant with the changeable environment after the   period of soviet hysteria has passed and the main function of them is lost.   The structures are irrelevant with the environment and the language of them looks like the monologue (delirium) standing aside from the surrounding postulates. 

 Is it possible to create the dialogue by giving the direction to the   stream of chaotic monologue? Is it possible to give back the public interest to the buildings by the way of  interpreting  the shapes and the functional findings?

How can a structure that represented the mechanicality of a human can get into contact with a modern human the idea of whom is uncertain and fragmented itself?

Revaluation.

Our actions follow from exhibitioners practice and are directed towards fixed exterior objects. It is a sort of experiment to check if it’s possible to protect part of a structure from erosion by isolating and then conserving it; if it could attract interest as an exposition, once we actively engage surrounding society during rehabilitation.

Attractive Factory

Is it possible to attract the public’s interest and acceptance beyond the  structure’s function on existed dialogues foundation if the dialogue was infant in it’s self?  

In order to improve and overcome the post soviet environment the society turned to the   rehabilitation and modernization of playing grounds. Our goal is to use existing strategy on environment segments itself and to renovate relations between the structure and the public by replacing the building’s first idea and provoking public’s involvement.

We’ve found the building that was the pavement factory in previous times.  The huge  rectangle  building is connected 30  degrees inclined narrow corridor which once served as the space for moving the lorry with industrial raw materials. I learnt all these in my childhood. Constructing the dialogue with this space  the image of kids attraction arouse in my mind.

As the building has lost it’s first function, we’ll try to replace this role with the dialogue held in the past, and to connect it with other similar modern shapes in the area.
